At a Glance
It's easy to see Base Pandemonium as the dirty, smelly stepchild of the
realms, full of wallowing fat creatures and without a whole lot of style.
While this is certainly true of the Prince of the realm, Base Pandemonium
actually has a much wider range of play style and "cool schtick" to it,
much of which is covered in these pages.
In the truer, wider view, Base Pandemonium is about excess in all its forms.
The culture of the realm is highly decadent, an attitude which permeates
at all levels. Gluttony is only a facet
of this; the feasts and orgies of the realm are
nearly non-stop, and the level of opulence to which the nobility rises is
seldom rivalled. It is a place where every pleasure of the flesh can be
met and sated tenfold, thanks to the attitude of the inhabitants and the
wealth of the land.
That wealth comes from a healthy trade in quality maggots and slaves.
Consider Base Pandemonium as the heartland of Hell, with the Maggot Fields
of Nasagriam as the farmland.
